Ecological Risk Assessment   

GLOBALTOX ’s ecological risk assessment (ERA) services can help clients evaluate risks to non-human species associated with environmental exposures to chemicals.  Our ERA work includes both terrestrial and aquatic animal and plant species, and focuses on the appropriate level of organization to respond to the specific issue at hand (individual, population, community, physical environment, ecosystem).  We are familiar with many different approaches to ecological risk assessment, including those of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment, Ontario and the European Union.  Three GLOBALTOX staff members meet the requirements for “Qualified Person, Risk Assessment” (QPRA) in Ontario.
